Brief Programme Notes

A Cool Suite is an original composition for Tuba Quartet by composer Peter Smalley. The piece is a very light hearted suite as you may be able to tell from the names of the movements: Strollin', Lazin', Hangin' Out and Cruisin'. A Cool Suite is written in a jazzy style and whilst being quite laid back for many of the movements the suite still offers a challenge for the quartet.
